How Can Pain In The Thumb After An Injury Be Treated?
son cut his hand at work on some metal on thumb on other side of the cut next to thumb nail there is a large white spot.. he woke up in alot of pain.. Cut doesn t look infected, washed the cut with soap and water and gave him some Advil. What do you think it could be that has him in so much pain?

The pain can be related to trauma. I recommend continuing giving him anti-inflammatory medication for the pain such as Advil. I also recommend cleaning the cut and covering it with antibiotic cream. I also suggest to cover it with a clean bandage.
