Hi
Thanks for your query
Based on your description it seems you suffered injury to nerve around elbow most likely to median nerve, leading to numbness and weakness in hand. It is not serious as you are recovering from numbness and weakness. My advice for you is-Take vitamin B12, B6 along with pain killer on SOS basis. It may take 2- 3 weeks for complete recovery.
Take care and wish you good health
