Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
I am pancreatic surgeon and I have to say at the beginning that only surgery can cure pancreatic cancer. Radiotherapy will not have any effect and this is not beneficial at all. Chemotherapy on the other hand may provide some help and palliative purpose. But stage 1 and 2 can and should be treated with surgery definitely. So you should discuss it with oncologist. Only if there is bad general condition and inability to recover after surgery, then it may be delayed or they may give up of it. Otherwise, you should insist on surgery.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
