I had suffered with stomach pain & nausea for almost 2 years. I had also lost almost 50 lbs. I’ve had every test there is & im diagnosed with IBS & gastritis. I feel there’s got to be something else wrong. I’m so tired of this ruining my life. Hope you can help. Oh I also have gone gluten free & lactose free even though I tested negative for celiac. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

IBS is functional kind of illness and it is not the pathological changes, it may last for long time unless you change the life style, diet, mental status, no stress then soon there would be no symptoms any more, you have a symptoms since last two years if this is the pathology or serious condition then something very bad would have come up till now, so it is nothing to worry, but try to come out the stress and stop worrying.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
