Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Chronic symptom of diarrhea mostly indicative of protozoa infection ideally it has to be investigated with the helps of culture sensitivity test of stool, but on tentative basis condition can be managed with Metronidazole twice in day for 10 days, if the symptoms remains as it is then condition demands the bacterial infection, and inflammatory disease of intestine and other pathological conditions, then it may not be taken as granted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
