Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a disorder that causes a strong urge to move one's legs. Risk factors for RLS include low iron levels, kidney failure, Parkinson's disease, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis and pregnancy. Some of medications which might also trigger the disorder include: antidepressants, antipsychotics, antihistamines and calcium channel blockers. Restless leg syndrome may resolve if the underlying problem is addressed. Otherwise treatment includes lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes that may help in improvement to overcome the symptoms include stopping alcohol and tobacco use, and sleep hygiene. Medications used include levodopa or a dopamine agonist such as pramipexole. Kindly consult Physician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
