How Can Severe Anxiety And Panic Attacks Be Treated?
hi i have severe anxiety i feel extreme panic coming on my chest pounds i sweat i have had to call 911 for these attacks at least 5x in the past 2 yrs when im not having those attacks i suffer from high high and low lows i become very depressed and withdrawn what i can i do about this desperate in ohio
without an exam, I can only give general information. There are a wide variety of things you can do for painic attacks. Sometimes they are due to obvious causes such as drugs. Mostly they occur out of the blue and last only a short time. This gets to be an issue with medication because all medicines taken by mouth take some time to get in which is usually longer than the duration of the panic attack. There can be prevention with various antidepressants which are highly effective on panic attacks. If the attacks are frequent, then prevention is a defitinte treatment and its effect can be rapidly shown. If, however, the panic attacks are quite rare, then it is difficult to know if the drugs are doing anyting and it takes considerable time to tell. Cognitive behavioral therapy might be a better alternative. I can link to a lot of resources of it with
