How Can Severe Backache Be Treated?

I have had back pain for over 35 years, I had a lactmdectomy , I know that s not how you spell it in1986, they wanted me to go back and have another surgery but as long as I can walk I ll never go trough that again, after going through pain management clinics a couple years at a time they want me to have a epidural this started over 30 years ago, they even took me in and let me watch them give them the first 2 I watched they screamed like bloody murder, then they tell me it doesn t really hurt, I ve been going to this last place for over a year and they just mentioned the shot then, I take blood thinners and had a heart attack last nov, I know that I m not supposed to have it taking blood thinners, and they asked if I could stop taking them for awhile I m 64 years old and I just want to live out my remaining years in peace. I have friends that have had the shot and horror stories just begin with what some of them have been through and it has only helped a handful and i believe a placebo would have helped them just as well, most of them didn t seem to have severe back pain in the first place, What is your opinion
