How Can Severe Constipation After A Hernia Surgery Be Treated?

how to loosen up stools hard as rocks coming out trying to pass. had a hernia surgery hat was quite big. now I think I have another. lower groan blows up swollen after lifting even grocery bags from car to house.and stays that way for hrs. after until im asleep.

Hi,

Acute constipation requires immediate medical assistance with soap water enema, glycerin suppositories with or without manual evacuation of stool as per the case severity.

Maintenance should be with high fiber diet, plenty of liquids, bulk forming laxatives and diagnostic colonoscopy for best management.
