Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is suffering from severe nausea, severe leg cramps,he’s cold, the temp is 100 degrees outside- he’s shaking and clammy, his bp is 138/78, I am sure he is dehydrated, but has been diagnosed with high bp, high cholesterol, pre- diabetic. I’m worried about blood clots or something these hinges can cause. He’s on an oil rig in Texas. Please give advice. Thank you
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. If his periphery is cold, then it may be hypotension due to hypovolemia or cardiogenic shock.
Please consult your physician immediately, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care.

How Can Severe Nausea And Leg Cramps Be Treated?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Severe nausea and leg cramps may be due to electrolyte imbalance or heat exhaustion or panic episode or deep venous thromboembolism with dislodged emboli etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. If his periphery is cold, then it may be hypotension due to hypovolemia or cardiogenic shock. Please consult your physician immediately, he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.
