Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Severe Pain In The Groin Area Due To Arthritis In The Hips Be Treated?
My husband has groin pain that is getting increasingly worse. He needs to lift his leg with his hands. This pain is where the leg meets the hip. He had knee replacement surgery on this leg in Sept. He told his dr. about the pain and an x-ray showed mild arthritis in the hip. He has a high pain tolerance but is having trouble sleeping and walking. The dr. only met with him briefly and left without answering his questions.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedic and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
