How Can Shortness Of Breath After Taking Acyclovir For Epstein-Barr Virus Be Treated?

Hi good evening. I’ve been taking Acyclovir to treat Epstein-Barr virus. When I started taking this medication about a day later I started experiencing shortness of breath and and tightness in my chest. I wanted to know if this is a normal side effect of this medication and what can I do to alleviate shortness of breath. Thank you!

I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Try not to hold your breath.
-Use pursed lips breathing technique.
-Sit in front of a fan, so it is blowing on your face.
-Lose weight if you are overweight.
-Avoid exposure to pollutants in the air, both indoors and out.
-Stop smoking
