Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my right shoulder /lower neck, as well as (which may not be related) what seems like my right clavicle bone at the breastbone decided to grow larger-without surrounding swelling or pain (at that location) or redness. How concerned should I be?
What I understand by the history it there is inflammation in the trapezius muscle as which is common due to work-related. Also if the pain is in the form of tingling, numbness, radiating then needs to check ours for any nerve-related entrapment. Also, a cervical rib is one of the causes which may lead to additional symptoms. Why don't you make some time to visit an orthopedist and get examined. As the symptoms are troubling you a physical examination will help reveal in-depth the medical diagnosis and with some x-ray or MRI as the diagnostic procedure should help see within the underlying skin and muscle to see what extent the injury is. Based on the medical physical examination and diagnosis the treatment will be guided.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
