Dear Diabetic Specialist / Expert. I am on TRIBETROL 1 [Glimepiride(1mg),Metformin(500mg),Voglibose(0.2mg)] for type 2 diabetes. The dosage 1 tablet BID before 1st breakfast and before last meal i.e. dinner. I took the last dose of the day at 2130 hrs before my dinner. But accidentally I took another [third tablet] at 00:30 HRS. How to manage the overdose and possible damages. Thanks, in advance for the help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Generally, taking an extra tablet does not cause a lot of concern. You should just keep an eye on your sugar to avoid low sugars, If at any time you feel shaky or tremors or sweating (signs of hypoglycemia) you should urgently take food. Before the next dose check your sugar.

Hope I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
