How Can Stiffness And Soreness On The Neck Be Treated?

I have some face sensation (somewhat akin to receiving anesthesia for a dental procedure). It is primarily on the right side - from my lower chin to collar bone it feels somewhat like a muscle cramp but does not hurt, and in the upper part of my right ear it feels sensitive to touch - like a sunburn - but there is no pain. This feeling in my right ear is also present in the top part of my left ear. Also, to a varying degree, there is a feeling of bugs or hair on my nose and under my eye. I have had several MRIs, on my brain and upper spine, but nothing was found except for minor stenosis. This issue had been on-going about 10 months, but I believe I began having some issue with stiffness and soreness in my neck for more than a year. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it is due to spine related problems like prolapsed disc or neuropathy.

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. An MRI neck is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
