How Can Stomach Ache Be Treated While Suffering From RSV?

My three year old daughter just got diagnosed with RSV. But she has had stomach issues for about 6 months to a year, they gave me miralax. Now she constantly complains of stomach pain and it wakes her up in the middle of the night? What can I do, since all the other doctors say shes fine?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, stomach ache can be a part of RSV or other reasons.
* My recommendations at present

- Allow her plenty of liquids.
- Dietary precautions to avoid all spices, oily, dairy fat.
- Continue medications for RSV control.
- Check that stomach ache is not a side effect of certain medicines given which may be steroids or else.
- See that she passes bowels smoothly and regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
