How Can Swelling And Pain In The Hands Be Treated?

Earlier today I got really upset and punched a wall over and over again. I couldn t feel it until after I had calmed down a bit. Anyways its swollen and it hurts really bad. I can still move it surprisingly and this isn t the first time I ve done this so it was already not perfect from the times before but I need to know if its fractured or broken or whatever so I know not to do something stupid so it can heal properly. I would go to my doctor and get it x-rayed but my mother will not take me and I have no one else to get a ride from.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
good morning,

try to control your anger .

For injury, do following:

cold sponging- 15 minutes single stretch 3 times / day.
take Over the counter pain killer like calpol.
give some rest to injured part

please inform if allergic to any medicines or asthma, gastritis etc.

If no, could take paracetamol or tab nucoxia.

better to get an X ray done.
