How Can Swelling In The Hand And Elbow Be Treated?

My mom has broken blood vessel in hand. She’s on plavix, really swollen. She’s 81. She’s been to doctor but told to go home and elevate and use ice. Swelling has gone down some but looks like blood is traveling up the arm almost to elbow and swollen some. Should we be worried about it traveling down the arm and go so the doctor or be worried about it?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Cefadroxyl twice a day after consult your doctor. Take Serratiopeptadise and Paracetamol 2 times a day. Don't give so much pressure. Take rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
