How Can Swelling On The Knee After An Injury Be Treated?
I am 53 years old and recent over extended my knee to the inside. About a week later slipped in the bath tub and my knee went to the outside. Now if I stand for more than 5-10 minutes it locks up. Also it is swelled up and it aches when I sit or don t put it up. One more thing I can t completely bend it. When I walk it feels like it s going to bend backwards. Do you think it will bet better on it s own or should I make an apt with my doctor? MamabeR
Hello thank you for writing us here. Well, for pain I would suggest you to take diclofenac tablet/ gel for symptomatic relief.
You can do simple exercises of flexion and extension of knee but I highly recommend you to see your doctor. They would take x ray or CT scan if needed for proper management.
God bless you Best regards, Dr Gunjan
