How Can Tonsillitis And Fever Be Treated?

My brother is suffering from tonsillitis for around 2 weeks he is 13 year old. He got fever up to 104° two to three times a day. So we giving him crocine as per doctor said and antibiotics also. His throat is not paining now but his fever is not going down much. If he will be cured with antibiotics with few more days or we should go for blood tests..

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You should let him get physically examined by an ENT specialist. Swab tests of the tonsils & physical examination is a must. In the meantime he should do warm saline gargle 2-3 times a day. He can also use Listerine for gargling. Antibiotics like Cephalosporin or Amoxicillin work well. If he is febrile even after taking the medications, maybe he needs to get his tonsils removed (Tonsillectomy). However, get your brother properly examined & evaluated first.
