How Can Vertigo And Pain Behind The Ears Be Treated?
I am an RN and working with a client complaining of vetigo for months after a serious bout of pneumonia that affected the crystals in her ears. She said as long as she has pain behind her ears she won t have an attack which only happens when she drives, but normally she can t drive because of the vertigo. She has not been given antivert and couldn t remember what the med was that she was given. I am trying to find a trained OT that could hel with th realignment of the crystals but have not been able to yet. I m looking for something to help her.
Vertigo may be due to BPPV or acute labyrinthitis or vestibular neurinitis or cardiac or neurological problems. Pain behind the ears may be due to otitis media or lymphnode enlargement or infection of middle ear, etc. Get it done ear examination, oral cavity examination , ear examination.
Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Vertin thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
