How Can Worsening Back Pain After IVC Filter Placement Be Treated?

I recently had an IVC filter placed and ever since I am experiencing severe pain in a very specific spot in my right lower back. I returned to the hospital where the procedure was done and upon viewing my CT results, nothing seemed wrong with the filter placement or position. The doctor attributed it to muscular/skeletal pain and sent me home with a prescription of hydrocodone. The pain continues to get worse every single day and it is to the point where I now can barely walk or move around.

Dear-thanks for using our service and I understand that you are having severe pain. It could be a muscle spasm but other possibilities as pinched nerve should be considered.CT scan of the back is not the gold standard diagnostic test for the back, you should have MRI of the lumbosacral to evaluate for spinal stenosis and buldging disc. You might need an epidural block to control the pain, depending the level of damage. I hope that my advise will be helpful.
