How Can Worsening Of A Prolapsed Hemorrhoid Over The Years Be Treated And Completely Cured?

Dear Doctor, I have a prolapsed hemorrhoid since I was in second grade, and although it was hurting at that point, it does not bother me anymore. I am 19 right now and the lump is still there. I think it is stage 2 since I can manually push it in. Is there any remedy that can gradually disminish the lump or do I need doctor treatment. I am very embarrassed by it. Please help. Thank you.

Hi,

Manually pushing it in is ill-advisable, can cause bleeding and infection, infectious gastroenteritis. Please see a Surgeon for proper treatment. There are no remedies apart from surgical intervention, do not worry, it will most probably be a 1 day affair.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajay Singh, General & Family Physician
