How Could High BP Effect Aneurysm?

Hello I am a 59 year old male and I had my blood pressure taken today and it was 149 over 104, I was told to be careful of high blood pressure as I am going into hospital to have a brain aneurysm coiled. Can you explain what connection between blood pressure and aneurysm please?
