Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My doctor advised Razo-d for me, for 10 days.I was complaining about gas formation and bloating stomach. I wanted to know why this medicine is given and can I stop the medication after 10 days or i have to take this medicine for a longer time, as I heard some people taking this medicine for years. My work schedule is working in night shifts and day shifts for 12hrs in one stretch and irregular eating habbits and stress due to work. Is it really required for me to start this medicine?? Is there any alternate like lifestyle change can help me?
Hello This medication will reduce the acid secretion and increase the intestinal motility and thus help with bloating. You can stop the medication after 10 days I would advise to maintain a fixex meal schedule if possible. Avoid milk products., red meat , carbonated drinks, deep fried foods , alcohol and smoking. Regular exercise like 30 min walk 3 to 4 times or more per week should help. Hope this helps Regards Dr Samir Patil
