How Does Menstrual Cycle React To Acupuncture?

Hello, I was wondering if the menstral cycle would react to acupunture? Because I am injured and my doctor prescribed me to do acupunture for my lower back and knee (acupunture started the last week of april). I have done 6 sessions (mons and weds) for the past three weeks. Last month I was late and experiencing period like cramps right when I was suppose to have my period (april 17) but my period didnt come I thought it was weird never experienced that but it came a week late (april 26). then after my period finished I got another period after my late period (may 8). now 5 days after my second period I have this dark discharge but a small amount.. My age is 24 I am 5"5" and 140 pounds. I am a female. I have had regular periods until last month. I take gluclosine and B vitamins daily for the past month.
