How Effective Is Taking Nitrostat For Chest Pain?

I just had chest pain and took a Nitrostat pill. I forgot I was supposed to put this under my tongue and instead, I swallowed the pill. Will the fact that I swallowed the pill be a problem as supposed to putting it under my tongue? (I have had these attacks before where my chest feels heavy and my heart races which is why my cardiologist has given me Nitrostat. I see him on a regular basis, have had an angiogram that did not show blockage, and passed the treadmill test with flying colors. I see him again in May, I to have these attacks about once every 12 to 15 months.) Thank you.

Dear sir

Nitrostat or nitroglycerine, is am arterial dilator which is commonly used for treating angina chest pain attacks.

It causes dilatation of the arteries which increases the blood circulation in the coronary arteries so that it receive adequate blood flow

If the chest pain is due to angina or presence of blocks then there drugs wil cat other wise these when taken with out Proper cause or supervision it wil worsen the condition. So dont worry consult your doctor and take an opinion.

Thanks
