Herpes is an infection caused by a virus and very contagious.Genital hepres is a coomon sexually transmitted disease.But acne is simply a pimple and contagious.Acne cures itself most of the time .Herpes may also be self limited and go away but the virus may persist and infect others.If you have herpes you need to see a doctor asap.
