Hi,
Sexual activity can be resumed 2-3 weeks after the abortion once the completion of the process has been proclaimed by a specialist through a clinical exam and a follow up sonogram. In order to prevent pregnancy until desired you can use any of the methods of contraception available that suit your needs. Barrier methods, if used, are more effective when combined with another mode or with dual barrier. Oral pills, implants, depo shots or IUDs are some of the other available ones. Hope this helps.
