How Long Can Arimidex Be Taken While On BP Medication?
About a year into taking arimdex I had to start taking two blood pressure medicines because my blood pressure was so high. I only have a couple of months left and it will be 5 years on the medicine. Now some people say you should take it for 10 years. I don t think it s wise because of my blood pressure. My father died at age 55 of a stroke. Because of my family history do you think I am making the right decision of taking arimidex 5 years instead of 10?
Let me inform you that if this is hypertension someone is having if it is the patient of hypertension then medicine has to be taken for a lifetime, no fix time period is there. You must have given the wrong information, the only way is the natural remission of disease and these circumstances. You can stop taking the drug but the condition has to be confirmed clinically by a cardiologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Akhtarhusain,
