I had extensive eye surgery two weeks ago. I was prescribed acetazolamide 250 mg tablet 4 times the day of surgery and I tablet daily ongoing. He understood that I was to use the eye drops 4/daily and take the pills 4/day. I could not read due to my surgery so there was no I thought he had understood correctly. We discovered three nights ago that I was taking too many. The doctor has taken me off of them completely but I still feel horrible from the side effects of the medicine. How long will it take to get this out of my system and is there anything I can do or take to help. When I say I feel terrible, I mean that I don t have the energy o walk from one room to the next. Please help.
