How Long Do The Protective Benefits Of NuvaRing Last After Removed?
I started my period on June 5th and put my nuvaring back in on about the 7th or 8th while I was still on my period. At some point my Nuvaring came out and I didn t notice until a few days ago. I put another ring in but I had unprotected sex while it wasn t in. Since I did this I don t know when I m supposed to start my period, I want to take a pregnancy test as soon as possible, when should I do this?
To continue to have pregnancy protection, you must insert a new ring 1 week after the last one was removed even if your period has not stopped. You are protected from pregnancy during the ring-free week as long as you have been using your ring correctly and you insert your next ring on time.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
