How Long Does Cytotec Take To Act?

I was supposed to be 9 weeks pregnant. When I went for ultra sound there was no heartbeat and they said that the baby measures at 8 weeks. I am now taking cytotec every 8 hours for 2 days now and nothing is happening. How long does it usually take to work?
