How Long Does Librium Stay In The Body?

I was in the hospital for 24 hrs I was supposed to have gotten BID Librax for IBS but a mistake was made and I got 2 doses of Librium. Can the med still be in my system? I have what I think is eczema and had a small amt. before going to the hospital. Now bot arms and my upper chest is so full of rashes and itches to the point of driving my batty. Nothing seems to work and my arms are so dry almost looking like they are burnt. I do have an MD apt on Tuesday, but was just wondering if I might be allergic to the Librium?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to Librium. I suggest:
- Take Antihistamine tablets daily
- Use Calamine lotion for local relief
- If there is no improvement, take prescribed corticosteroids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
