Hi,

Treatment course may vary from 12-18 months depending upon the severity of the disease or immunity status or drugs resistance or associated complications. Combination of Rifampicin, Isoniazid, Ethambutol, and Pyrazinamide for two months followed by combination of Rifampicin and Isoniazid for a total period of 6, 9, 12 or 18 months is the most frequent protocol used for treatment of spinal TB. But as per WHO duration is 6 months, but accordingly American thoracic society recommend 12 months. if it is surgical resection done with bone grafting need 18 months of treatment. I think I tried to explain possible treatment options please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
