How Long Does A Cramp Take To Get Cure After Colonoscopy?

I went with a friend today as she had a colonoscopy. the procedure was done at 8:30 am. took her home about 10:30 stayed with her for 2 hrs. she drank some coffee and had some yellow orio cookies. Had some gas (which I know is good) She had some cramps as well but not too bad. I just called her and she is having cramps and I asked her on a sliding scale what the discomfort was and she said an 8. I told her if it didn t get better to call her Doc. She said she would but I know her as she is an old nurse as am. I know I didn t have cramps like that when I had the procedure. How long should she wait.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
She had unbearable cramping after colonoscopy, that too very sever. She should be immediately taken to the doctor, it may dependant upon the condition of the colon.
If the condition of the colon is bad she can have the cramps like this. If there is infection, should be immediately cured.
Ask her to take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to hasten the recovery.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
