How Long Does It Take For The Pain To Go After Nail Breakage?

HI I RECENTLY DROPPED A HEAVY OBJECT ON MY TOE CAUSING IT TO TAKE THE ENTIRE NAIL OFF MY BIG TOE. i HAVE BEEN PUTTING OITMENT ON IT AND BANDAGED IT WHEN I GO TO WORK AND WHEN NOT WORKING I LET IT AIR SOMETIMES STICKING IT IN EMPSON SALT AS LONG AS I CAN. i WAS WONDERING HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THE PAIN TO GO AWAY

Hello and welcome to health care magic.
Since the nail has torn off, the wound will be open for infections, even if you cover in bandage. Once it gets infected it will take weeks to get healed. So my advice is to visit a physician and take a course of antibiotics like AmpiClox for 5 days so that, the wound will be healed in 1 week. He will also prescribe some analgesic to fight the pain as well.
