HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET RID OF THE EFFECTS OF SEROTONIN INTERRUPTION? MY HUSBAND WAS OFF EFFEXOR FOR THREE WEEKS. HIS WELLBUTRIN WAS REDUCED BY 50%, THEN HE RESTARTED THE EFFEXOR AGAIN AND NOW HE IS EXTREMELY NAUSEATED, FATIGUED, DIZZY, HEADACHY.

These are the side effects of Effexor . Generally it takes about 2 weeks time to develop tolerance to these symptoms but this can vary from person to person.

The adaptation time would be 8 to 10 days, but this can be varies from person to person, and depends upon the mode of action of drug and physiological response, If I would be his doctor then I would surely put him on the drug called "Ondansetron" this is the best drug given for the nausea cause by chemotherapy and other drugs, have nice day.
