How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight After Receiving Invega Shots?

Hi, I ve been on the Invega shots for 6 months and had many side effects but the worst is weight gain. 25 pounds in 6 months. I just came off the shot for this reason and was wondering how long it will be until I start losing the weight I gained? I m miserable, as other side effects are still present. Thank you.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Medication can cause weight gain in different ways such as : (1)increasing appetite (2)decreasing energy level and physical activity
(3)affecting metabolism of food
(4)affecting fullness or satiety

You can reduce or prevent weight gain by : (1)being very conscious of the increase in appetite and increase foods that would not cause gain such as fruits/ vegetables, salads etc

(2)again , consciously increase physical activity to at least 150 minutes weekly if possible

I hope this helps
