How Long Does The Side Effects Of Postinor Lasts?

Hi, my girlfriend took Postinor 1, 2 days ago and she is feeling sick, has tender breasts, gained 2 kgs, lost her appetite. Is this all normal??? How long can the side effects last for? Also, why was she given Postinor-1 instead of Postinor-2 at te pharmacy??? What s te difference between the two??

Hi

Postinor 1 is a one-time contraceptive tablet used at the time of emergency.The tablet is effective in stopping pregnancy if ingested within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse.The side effects of the drug usually lasts for three to four days.

Postinor 2 possesses the same active ingredient as Postinor 1 i.e. levonorgestrel progestogen. Even the mechanism of action is the same.

Postinor 2 comes with two tablets One table can be taken immediately after unprotected intercourse and the second tablet should be taken 12 hours later.
