How Long Is Meprate Intake Advisable While Missing One S Menstruation For Close To Two Cycles?

Hi doctor , I am 25 , my period is delay for about 3 months and still not getting period , just to inform I am unmarried and not pregnant . My periods are generally irregular minimum duration 40 days to 60 , but this time around its been more than 60 . Always feels like I might get period next day and not happening . Don t know what might be the reason , can u plz suggest to get my periods soon.. I took mephrate tablet and till when should I take tablet to get my periods. Thanks please advise

Hi,

I would suggest to take tablet Meprate twice a day for 10 days. Wait for bleeding after last pill till 10 to 15 days. On starting the period, get consultation of your gynecologist for investigations to know the basic cause (including blood tests to know levels of different hormones like thyroid / USG scanning for anatomy of internal genitalia, specially the ovaries). Some reason would be disclosed after the investigations then the gynecologist would suggest you cause specific treatment for your problem.
