How Long It Takes To Cure Effects Of Food Poison?

I believe I had food poisoning-I threw up 10 times, diarrhea, and couldn't keep down any water. It started 36 hours ago, and I have slowly stopped those and been able to drink water. This morning woke up with chills/night sweats but had a temperature of 97 degrees, and have had a headache off and on. I just had my first real food (a cup of rice). I read online that it should clear in 48 hours or so, do you think I should be okay by tonight?
