How Long It Takes To Normalize Elevated Levels Of AST And NOS?

I went to the doctor for a UTI and my bloodwork showed my ALT was elevated to 201 AST 63 and NOS 790.6, I do not know what the NOS reflects. I had taken some over the counter supplements for a few weeks but stopped them a couple of days ago when the UTI started. I believe those were the cause for the elevated numbers. How long will it take for my numbers to normalize? I go back in a week to have my bbloodwork redone.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The increase in ALT, and A.S.T, maybe due to alcohol abuse, hepatotoxic drugs for longer time, malnutrition etc.
The condition is to be evaluated further to know the condition of the liver and then treated.
I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment .
I advise to my patient with such symptoms to avoid alcohol, fatty foods, junk foods, etc. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms hepamerz ,sorbiline etc till the diagnosis is established.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods, to have a early recovery, and to have good resistance.
You can have treatment of U.T.I, as usual.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
