How Long Should Fucithalmic Eye Drops Be Used For A 7-month-old Baby?

Hi there I have a 7 month old baby and I brought him to the doctors on Monday and our doctor gave us fucithalmic eye drops for his eyes as he had a swore eye and we have been using them since then, but I was just wondering is there a certain time frame with them drops as they are an antibiotic or do you just stop using them when you ve seen the eyes have cleared up . Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Treatment with Fucithalmic eye drop is usually for 1 or 2 weeks, although sometimes it can be for longer. You should use Fucithalmic eye drops for at least 48 hours after you feel better and your eye looks normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
