How Long Should I Wait Before Going For Strep Test Causing Sore Throat, Drainage And Chills?

I am a first grade teacher. I have students who have been diagnosed with strep throat. Starting late this morning,I have a very sore throat, chills, muscle aches, sinus drainage, but, no pus sacks on my tonsils...yet. should I go to urgent care on a Sat. Night or wait until morning to,see if my tonsils, get redder and pus sacks? will the strep test show up positive, even at the beginning of strep, or should I wait before going in for the test?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Don't worry strep throat wont effect so easily, you need not worry about it, You can go for treatment of the sore throat. You will be tested there for strep throat as well.
The patients who have sore throat are not effected with strep.
you can have relief soon, and have the healthy throat.
If you have strep throat also, being an adult you can have resistance against the infection.
