How Long Should I Continue Anti Allergy Medicine For Cough?

Hi I am Priyanka ... I had Pneumonia about 3 months ago. I took oral antibiotics and recovered in 3 weeks. However since then I have had a persistent dry cough. I am taking Livosiz (anti allergy ) for it. I wanted to know whether this cough is normal and will when will it last. Also, till when should I continue the anti allergy medicine.

Post pneumonia cough should settle in a week or so if you do not have any allergic tendencies. You could get a pulmonary function test done for your cough just to see if you have allergic tendency. Anti allergy medication can be stopped as it may not benefit you at this stage.
