Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, she may need to get tested for Thyroid levels every 3 months and doses of thyroxine needs to be adjusted accordingly.

If any history of low calcium after surgery, she may need calcium supplements life long as it can indicate parathyroid injury during surgery.

However, if no symptomatic hypocalcemia is present like no tetanic spasms etc have occurred so in intervals calcium can be used, like every six-monthly for two to three months duration and then may take a break etc. No specific diets are needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
