Is NP-Thyroid Advisable Instead Of Armour-Thyroid?

I have been taking Armor thyroid medication since 2009, I had a total thyroid to my. Today my pharmacy gave me NP thyroid medication instead. I was told I should some time ago I should not interchand the two medications. Can I request Armor medication instead.
