How Long To Withhold From Sex Before And After Follicle Rupture?

i would like to know what should be the frequency of intercourse after the follicele has ruptured, also how long does a sperm survive inside after intercourse. also is it necessary to abstain from sex for atleast 2 days prior the follicle ruptures. thx.

Hi, thanks for asking. In my opinion if you are trying to conceive you should have intercourse a day before the ovulation as well as on the day of ovulation. The life span of ovum is very short around 12 to 24 hrs where as sperms can survive about 3 to 4 days. It may be helpful to abstain from sex before trying to conceive as to increase the sperm count and the chances of fertilization
