How Long Will Anesthetic Sprayed On The Tongue Last?

I had a tongue biopsy yesterday. The ENT sprayed my mouth the anesthetic. Tasted horrible at the time and I know that s normal but I still taste it. How long will it take for that to go away? Should I rinse with salt water? Can I brush my teeth now?

Hello,

It is normal to feel a bit bad taste and numbness after anesthesia in tongue. I think you may continue to rinse mouth with salt and water and wash teeth also. It is not such a concern and can go gradually.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
